Legacy attacks Super GT in Japan

Legacy attacks Super GT in Japan

Posted on 27. Aug, 2009 by ryan in Motorsports, Videos

Formerly known as the JGTC series in Japan, Super GT has only had a single exhibition race in the United States. It was during the inaugural GT Live event at what was then Califoria Speedway, way back in 2004. In that era, Cusco carried the Subaru torch by running a RWD-convered Impreza STI in the series. Now, seemingly out of the blue, Subaru is getting involved with a whole new Legacy-based Super GT racer. Here is the first video of the car undergoing testing. What do you think about using the Legacy name for such an extreme racer? Fit or fail? Post your comments below…

Hmm, I don’t know anything about Subaru’s racing history (other than some of their rally background), but this makes me want to know a whole lot more.

Ok let me think, the name Legacy Super GT Racer seems ok to me. The thing is what kind of “Legacy” it will leave after it self.

Well, Legacy is the name of the production car… So why would the name change for the race version?
