Third annual Subiefest to be bigger and better than ever;
with live music, on-track test drives of the hot, new 2009 Subaru WRX
and the Subiesport all-Subaru Time Attack challenge.
Redmond, Washington (PR Web) August 8, 2008 -- Racing enthusiasts
mark your calendars to join Subiesport Magazine on the weekend of
September 6-7 for the largest all-Subaru motorsport event and festival
in North America: Subiefest 2008, presented by Subaru of America and EDO Performance/Zero Sports.
"We're very excited that Subiefest will be just outside of Los
Angeles this year, and that we can be part of it," said Edwin Tang, CEO
of EDO Performance/Zero Sports. "We traveled over 1,000-miles to attend
the 2007 event, and we've never seen such a dedicated and diverse
gathering of car enthusiasts. The 2008 event will be incredible!"
Now in it's third year, the Subiefest all-Subaru Shootout and
Showoff will be bigger and better than ever, as it takes over the Big
Willow race track at Willow Springs, just outside of Los Angeles,
California. For the main event, top tuners from around the country will
face off in the Subiesport Time Attack Challenge, pitting
highly-modified Subarus against the clock to determine who is the
fastest in the land. This is where the talk, and the rubber, meet the
road in a challenge for ultimate bragging-rights.
Japanese
racing legend Tarzan Yamada is scheduled to appear, piloting the
Crawford Performance 2008 Subaru STI Time Attack race car. Tarzan holds
speed records around the world and is well known as regular on the JDM
Option DVD series, as well as performing judging duties for the Formula
D event series.
Looking to test drive a new 2009 Subaru WRX? Subiefest has partnered
with Subaru of America to bring shoppers the ultimate test drive
experience: the WRX Track Attack. This unique driving experience will
put drivers behind the wheel of a brand-new 2009 Subaru WRX, along with
a certified instructor, for a hot lap around the Big Willow race circuit.
More than just racing and driving, Subiefest will also feature live
music from Seattle band, "The Endeavors" on the main stage. Their sound
has been rocking audiences in the Pacific Northwest to rave reviews for
their unique sound and vibrant performance. "The Endeavors" are
scheduled to perform during the Saturday night Desert Party, as well as
in-between races on Sunday.
Gate entry for Subiefest 2008 is only $10 per day, with practice and
the all-night party on Saturday and the main event and show on Sunday.
