Subaru DEX Announced in Japan

Dex1 Subaru just announced it's own small-box-on-wheels called the DEX. If it looks like a Scion xB, that's because, yes, it's a badge-engineered Toyota. This is only slated to be sold in Japan for the time being, so no worries about Subaru dropping this one into the US mix anytime soon.

It's available to Japanese customers with a 1.3-liter stright-4 mill coupled to a standard 4EAT transmission. True to Subaru form, it will be available in an all-wheel drive version, in addition to the more pedestrian FWD model. For those seeking true mini-box-baller-status there's the 1.3i S model, which includes several aero parts in addition to a swanky MOMO steering wheel. Price starts at 1,438,500 yen (about $15k USD.)
